I have a c230 compressor sport coupe that I'm replacing the antenna amp on. I've stripped the old adhesive from the glass and amp casing, and put new 3m tape on. The question regards the contacts. Those don't look that encouraging for contacting the glass, and I'd like to use some electrically conductive putty on the contacts when I stick everything back onto the glass. I can find conductive glue and epoxy all over. Is thatwthat I should use? Or are there alternatives?
I didn't find any kind of putty that wasn't epoxy or adhesive. But I did find 3m 9703 conductive tape. I'll build up the contacts on the glass so there is definite contact on the amp and antenna.
I never found anything that would work. I would love to find the original antenna amp contact pieces that look like the attached pic. You can see how they look after someone chisels the amp off the glass as well.
I'm at the point of wondering how to bypass the whole thing.
