Mr. Anaheim_Drew:
Your boat is a nice toy!... easy to use!.. that is the advantage of RTR (Ready To Tun) vehicles
...
The problem with the subs is that they are nice and everything but once they submerged then you are left out with "WTF???!!!" unless you have crystal clear water you can't see it!... haha... THEN it gets more complicated... go get the entire diving suit on and water proof remote control so you can "see it" once submerged... then comes the water proof camaras (photo and video) to snap the pics... those "accesories" are the ones that make the hobby expensive... --well the subs... if they are custom build can be pricey too...lol... mainly the time it takes to develop the project... lol--. The sub does have a wireless CCD color camara mounted on the tower, however, with blurry water like in a lake.. that is all you see... a blurr in front of the sub too!...lol
Mr. CitronC230K_03:
I do race some little R/C cars too
--have the gas powered ones... electric.. each has its advantages.. )
Cheers

You should be safe now to continue developing your GPS system as there are civilian rocket gurus shooting things like this into the upper reaches of the atmosphere.

How far of a distance are you talking about, with your GPS units. You were correct about the drift and other things when using an XY system. I tried to profile a robot on a X-Y grid but was a mess becuase he would not stop properly and then the whole system was messed up.
There is an annual RC sub show in Austin, Tx it is on Aug 28 th and 29th I will probably go to that. It should be really fun.
BTW i saw some pictures of the sub's with Led lights. That is pretty nice. I am not sure if they have auto leveling & curve sensing.
I found a document that shows on how to build a torpedo system for your sub, thoutght that was really coool.

Mr. Mr. Xristo:
I think there shouldn't be a problem anymore... I have to just pick up the "steam" back on those litle projects... they can be time demanding/consumming... lol

I always welcome any information from enthousiast, though I am not sure what "document" you made reference to... I still have to find one as the one my group have designed (not yet build into a scale small enough to fit on a sub though
)
Mr. CitronC230K_03:
.. yup!, last year's fire took it all man!... lol
Mr. Anaheim_Drew
Let's play?
