Silver Colored Amber Bulb Manufacturers
the reason i went with silver stars up front was because PY21W WILL NOT work in 2357 socket. PY21W is single filament, 2357 is dual. you will get a bulb out warning, front indiactor will not flash, and indicators will flash twice as fast. i already tried. so im using the silver stars and like i sai before im really pleased with the way they look in the BIX indicator housing.

According to the spec table I have, 1157 should be a suitable replacement for 2357, plus it appears the 1157 should be a bit brighter than the 2057. I'm going to try Sylvania Silverstar 1157's and see how they work.
I ordered :
Philips Silver Vision PY21W (Rear)
But for the front's I am going to wait on to see if the 1157's work. In the time, I am going to see if I can find some white signals, instead of amber. If I can't then most likly go with the Sylvania Silverstart 2057's.

from what ive researched:
However physical dimensions (but not electrical specs) of the #1157, #2057, and (BMW OEM) #7528 are IDENTICAL and INTERCHANGEABLE.
also on the spec chart i looked at, it reads the 1157 and 2057 are the same with exception to filament size.

Stealth Auto (310) 474-3834 will not have the 2357A bulbs for 5 weeks. They are $29.95 and shipping is currently free.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Or if anyone in LA area's got a pair of fairly newe uneven colored Sylvania 1156A bulbs and want to trade, let me know.

I looked at the factory installed amber bulb. It has two filaments. The 1156 is a single filament bulb. So obviously, the 1156 will not work since it is going to be drawing less power than a dual-filament bulb.
On the base of the factory bulb, 2357 is imprinted. I looked it up, 2357 is a newer, higher amperage (and brighter) version of the 1157 bulb, which in turn is a two-filament version of the 1156 bulb.
So what you need for your front indicators is 2357. Unfortunately, after much looking around, it does not look like anyone is making silver coated 2357 bulbs yet.
Or, according to your information, they are brighter than the single filament Stealth Auto 1156 bulb? But, your information stated that that bulb did not work. Did that mean that even though it illuminated, the vehicle reported a lamp failure?
And according to your information, the 1156 is a single filament version of the 1157 and the 2357A is a brighter version of the 1157.
Does the hallogen front turn signal in your '05, use the same bulb as the Xenon lamp assembly in my '05?
I'm not sure how to figure out what stealth auto bulbs I need. I was thinking of calling stealth auto but since it's Sunday I don't think they are open.
where can i get more info?
Also do you have the part numbers for the lenses and the stealth bulbs?
Do have you any pictures of the 2005 W203 indicators?

here are pics of the 2005 W203 indicators on Saprissa's coupe.
Doug: By the way, the Silver Stars that you sent me works like a charm! Thanks. Now I have to wait for Steve to come back to pimp even more.
i want steve to pimp my ride, with a new COMAND and Sirius!

i cant wait.
Yes, I have BIX.
Yes, I RTFM.
Yes, it does indicate that the BIX blinkers are 2357A bulbs (the "c" above stands for chrome)
Okay, so anyway, I went to go fit the bulbs I just received and they wouldn't fit. I inspected the two prong settings and the 2357 is off-set (i.e. one is higher on the base than they other).
When I looked at the stock amber blinker bulbs, I noticed that the prongs are set at the same level.
Am I missing something? Did I not get this right? If anybody can figure out this puzzle, please let me know because I'm stumped. I'm at the point where I'm thinking that the PY21W is for the front blinker as well. That bulb looks more similar than what I just recently purchased. I think I'm gonna see if those fit tonight.
Now, I'm wondering if it's different for different years, but
1156 is the solution (or at least one of them). Even though the owner's manual says 2357, I am going to be calling MB to let them know about this. I tried my cousin's bulb from his tailight and sure enough, it worked.
I'm going down the hill to see if I can pick some up before Auto Zone closes. If not, I'll pick some up tomorrow.
Go figure that one of the EASIEST bulbs to find on the market is the blinker that works for BIX.
I was wondering because 1157 is a dual-filament bulb and there is no reason for the blinker to be dual-filament because the light does not stay on. Since a 2357 bulb is a higher amp version of an 1157, obviously the same applies (i.e. no need for a dual filament bulb)
Well, hope that helps others that had this issue.

Rear bulb is PY21W, ctC230K. In fact, I'm pretty sure Bekkers has the chrome PY21W bulbs. Check their website www.bekkers.com They are under "specialty bulbs"

If not, here's the rear blinker:

I think, quite possibly, this is the actual bulb for the BIX (aside from 1156), but still have to contact MB tomorrow to find out:
