So.cal August 21 Meet Was Fun. 37 Mbz 8 Bmw....
is right !!!I guess I'll have to activate that "self-destruc-tronic" feature the new 2005 flat hood badges come with. All I need is to get within 75 miles of Anaheim to set off the remote trigger. :v
I've got an MB hood star to sell ya !!??!!
It was good meeting everyone for sure... the story how you got your W210 is worth posting on the board
... Cheers!

OK, I will try not to bore you with ALL the details…I found a car I wanted on ebay…well I bid on it & the reserve was not met. After dwelling on it a few days, I emailed the seller & asked if it was still available & if they were accepting offers…turns out the person listing the car was a used car salesman who was listing it for his MIL who lived in another state! They gave me her phone#. So I called her & asked about the car…she said it is a “Honey of a car!” & she had planned on keeping it forever…however she is now in an electric scooter & could not drive it. Yes it was still available, & the only thing wrong with it was that scratch on the front bumper. (Yes the one in the picture…I DID NOT DO IT!
)no accidents, still under warranty, low miles….I told her how I was a new mom & needed to sell my sports car & get a 4-door & her car would make that task a nice one as I don’t really like most larger cars…& how all my friends teased me that I would have to trade in the old Supra for a Minivan & I said NO WAY!…& laughed…my heart sank when the lady sadly said that was what she now has since she needed a lift for her scooter…insert foot here!
I felt so bad, but what can you say to that??? Well, I made her an offer ($6500.00 under her reserve) & she said yes!! So, I funded the loan , wire transferred the $$ to her bank in South Carolina, & set up insured transportation for my new car all from the comfort of my home.
It is unlike me to do all this without any skepticism or worry…for some reason I trusted this complete stranger! I felt at peace with the decision..never a 2nd thought or worry (REALLY not like me at all!)…& I watched online while it moved across the state & when it was in CA, I called the delivery co & they said, yup, just pulled up! Yippee!One other thing happened, since she did not list the car & she does not have computer access, there was a mistake in the add…it said it had a CD player…daughter saw it was CD ready & assumed…well, it didn’t…& can you believe that when I told the lady about this she sent me some $$$ back to buy a new one?! Not many people out there like that these days!
So yes, I am loving my “Honey of a Car” Looking forward to keeping it for a long long time…after a few mods
Need wheels, BADLY!
PS- California DMV is lacking in the competence area...they told me my car was salvaged...based on an "S" on the original title...I called So Carolina DMV, they looked up the car & said “NO, it is not salvaged & CA always makes this mistake...you go back there & tell them......” so needless to say, I spent the day at DMV arguing & trying hard not to lose my temper …all is well now...but what a headache & a waste of a day!
Good deal !! remember to "pass it forward"
Cheers !

Not to count, that If I remember correctly from the information Ms. SpeedyE430 gave me, the car came with 22k something miles????... that IS low mileage for a 2 yr old car!

Yup, I also want to have a story that goes something like this: "yeah, I was walking somewhere and I stumbled on a pile of gold!..."
... yeah.. .something like that... or better... Cheers!

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
)The best miliage car that I have could be Prosche that is almost as old as I am (30 some years old) with a total milieage of I think 6 thousand kilomiters which is about 4500 miles in over than 30 yrs!... that is 150 miles per year
and about 12.5 miles per month!... there are others not as good, another car is a 17 yr old car that I drive on a daily basis, that one has 50k miles
... another one could be what I call the "baby car" cause that is its purpose (Lincoln Navigator) I got last December just a few days shy of the new year (204) so far that truck with a San Francisco trip has about 3k miles so far....lol... (the Porsche is a car my father puurchased as a "gift" for my birth-day... for some reason, no-body --neither mother or father-- cared to drive it at all, and neither did I... last time an "offer" was made to purchase that particular vehicle, I think it was 2.2 mil
... it turns out is was a "special" limited prod. batch of less than 100 cars... well... this is not a Posche forum... lol)Actually looking at my cars mileage, the C32 is the one that I have beaten the crap out of, mileage wise...

BTW, my E430 was 3yrs old in June...just for the record
...& I also work at home, so unless we make lots of Vegas runs (which MAY happen, LOL) it should not accumulate too many miles in the years to come... OK, back to work now!
Boy, you guys are chatters over here
...the W210 board is dead most of the time....sigh~

I know this is not a Porsche board, but if others don't mind, I'd like to see a pic of this car! (my heart belongs to those unpractical 2-seaters!
)

You have to realize guys have also "mood" swings... we call it "mod" swings...

)
... they just sit in a garage where they are car washed (even though they are not driven) on a weekly basis
. I will get you the pics, however, you should know, when you see it, it does not look the money that is worth... lol... great condition and everything, still to this date, I don't like the shapes of most Porsches... now there is hope for me, cause there is the Carrera GT that I finally like!!!...hmmm... gee... lol (my better sense of control is still "in control" so far... )Cheers!

i found $50 bucks once, just walking around...
Citron, forget about "dropping the bomb". Only CROWS do that (real crows, not father/mother/other crows), if you know what I mean.

My car told me she secretly made friends with your car, because she didn't have any seatmates during the meet she got bored so she befriended "VTAMN C"
