Thanks Drew,

Well based upon carsdirect.com if what I want, which is an auto, sunroof pkg, lighting pkg, and leather and the invoice comes to 33,611. I should be able to ask for 31,611? Which would probably be a $33000 OTD?? Does that seem right???

Also, a bit of a question on the leather. When I built my MB on the mbusa website, I don't really know the difference btwn the leather upholstery and the leather inserts. Can someone fill me in on that. Thanks again!

the 05 leather is very high quality. If you have the money i would get it. Its not too noticable but they feel different. If your more of a gadget guy I would get the COMAND or KH/CD changer.

.........NO......... This is the problem... The word TRY... Invoice is $31611 why would you offer less that $1600 under invoice? When it is known that you can get it?

I think o98eclipse was saying 33611 was the invoice, so 31611 is already 2000 below.

OK... my point is that all they can say is no and then you can increase your offer by $200. If they still say no. Leave... you can always go back.

Yes the invoice for the options I want is $33,611. I like where Drew is going with this. Since you seem to know exactly what you are talking about, what should be first offer be? Or shall I say, what should I offer and stick to?????

Any word on the difference btwn the leather upholstery and leather inserts???

ohh I didnt catch that. So 33,611 is the invoice so 35,611 must be the MSRP! Yeah acoording to Drew you can get it for 1500 under invoice so 32000 plus tax is ideal here.

Based on posted percentage numbers on this forum that carsdirect price is not the invoice price. The only way that number comes close is with metallic paint which didn't appear on the wish list. Sorry Drew.
