Thumbs up Coco Mat Floor Mat

The attached image shows the Coco Mat floor mat in my C320 Sports Coupe. These appear to be durable and heavy duty.

There are many colors available. The image shows the Jaspe (Black/Brown/Tan), code 91. The cost, for front only, is $100, plus 12.50 S+H.

These are custom manufactured, per order, so it takes about 3-4 weeks.

I have a set of black w/ blue dots in my Orion Coupe-almost a perfect color match. They've held up pretty well-a few stray strands where my heel digs in getting in and out with dress shoes. Had 'em about a year. The best thing is that they never have to be vaccumed-just shaken out. And unless you get really big pieces of debris on them (like grass), they always look clean because stuff just falls down in them.

IMO, the jaspe was meant for cars with a tan interior-since tans are so hard to match, the three colors tend to blend better. I would definitely do the jaspe with a light interior.

My last set of "premium" floor mats, the WeatherTech premium rubber floor mat were used in four vehicles over 11 years. They are just starting to show signs of wear, but I now will be using them just for my winter vehicle.

These mats appear to also have durable contruction. My guess is that these will last past my ownership of the vehicle.

This is a sharp contrast to the factory mats, which I would not expect to look acceptable after a year.

I guess the floor mat issue is a big deal on the East Coast (winter season folks).

Here in Cali, I've ran around with the same mats on my SUV for 10 years.
Still not worn at all. My MB mats after one year, look perfectly brand new.

Agree with you Narc, those things are just plain FUGLY !!!

Looking on the website, some of the mats are pretty nice, well I mean, they look normal... but you just pick the wrong colors especially for a black interior?

I wonder if coco fibre have any special properties? Must be a nightmare to clean salt stains from that

Looks like someone just finished eating at Taco Bell and barfed on their shoes. In nice straight rows, though.

Yes, the attached image from the Coco Mat web site shows the Jaspe with a tan interior.

For those seeking a more conventional approach, the attached image from the Coco Mat web site shows black with gray dots for a black interior. They also offer all black.

My experience with the factory mats is that after just a couple of weeks of summer usage the wear was unacceptable. That is why I concluded that these would last me less than a year. It appears that others are more tolerant of degraded appearance.

Given that the mats are woven in India, Jaspe may be Hindu for straight barf.

Clearly this color combination would not be selected by others. But, I did not need more black in my black interior, so these colors work for me.

The underlying point remains, this is a high quality product that is much better than the factory mats. As these images show, someone looking for black with a black interior may also be satisfied.
