Where was it from exactly? It looks like one of the crankcase breather hoses though I can't be certain as the shape is not quite right. Also there's already one installed in your photo.
While you have the engine apart, replace all 3 breather hoses and the check valve with the updated parts (start at post #22). You do not want to have to disassemble the engine again.
