What maintenance should I do for my car?

What maintenance should I do for my car?
I have a 2002 C coupe, its exactly three years old and has 39K miles on it. Service B exceeded by 15K miles.
I really wasn’t thinking about taking it to the maintenance or anything, But my friend just told me I really should.
What do you think? And what should I change exactly?
Note; I already changed the plugs, air filter, fuel filter and couple hoses in the engine at service A.
I always change the oil and its filter every 3000 miles.

Model year 1998 through 2004 vehicles are equipped with the Flexible Service System. The Flexible Service System evaluates your vehicles engine temperature, oil level, vehicle speed, distance driven and the time elapsed since your last service visit. It determines when your vehicle needs standard maintenance service and alerts you in advance.
There are two types of maintenance services for your vehicle, an A-service and a B-service. Under normal circumstances the distance driven between services is an average of approximately 12,000 miles, and A- and B-services will be called for by FSS alternatively. For more detailed information please refer to your owner's manual.

The dealer here says I've exceeded service B so I wont get it for free. Plus they give only 3 years waranty for the car, I already passed three years. So they're making fuss about that too.

Well, I've been getting a message about service B and I exceeded it by 15000 miles.

Makes you think when you can go to a sidewalk stall in Prague and buy souvenirs from an ex-Russian soldier who speaks english without hesitation and switches back to other customers speaking Czec and Polish without losing track of our conversation.

You should change the coolant (use the MB approved stuff only)
and the brake fluid should be flushed and replaced with new fluid.
It would be a good idea to inspect the brake pads, ball joints and inspect any other lines or hoses for chafing and leaks. You're very far off from another A service either.

But, what's this 1000 mile checkup I keep hearing about? Something old that's new again now that the 2005s don't have FSS any more? Reason I ask is another thread where I thought I read (but now can't find) which included a statement from someone where they took in their car for a 1000 mile check and a leaking power steering pump was found.
Would sure like to have a dealer inspection of my new 2004 without waiting a year until the FSS says a service A is due, but can't figure out how to arrange it.

However, the 1000-mile service check-up has been available for at least a couple of years. I had it done on my 2003 MB, and will have it done on my 2004.5 car as well. To arrange it, you simply call your dealer and make an appointment. If they tell you it is not necessary, then take their name and call MBUSA direct, and have them schedule it for you. Don't let dealers tell you what you want/need for your car. Specially if it's a courtesy service they're supposed to offer.

Two weeks ago, at 1300 mi, they had to change out a failed TCU module, wonder if they were smart enough to check over the car at that time or not even though I wasn't smart enough to ask. Thanks.
