the smell of exhaust fumes in the cabin
well let’s start with the problems.
not long ago I became the owner of a 220 cdi, 2006 and I noticed that through the ventilation of the air conditioning even while driving, exhaust fumes are coming. Where could you get it from? It's very annoying because I've had a headache a few times after driving.
any suggestion?

First place I would look is the exhaust manifold. These are known for cracking as the engine mounts wear out and sag over time, creating some bending stress in the pipe. For my engine, the exhaust pipe does not have any flexible section designed in. If you a find a crack there, repair the crack (weld or epoxy) and replace the engine mounts as well.
In my case there was also a cracked crankcase breather check valve, mentioned farther down in the same thread. I don't know if your engine has something similar, though I imagine it probably does.
Good luck.
