W203S, Panel on Back of 2d Seat
I've looked through the search, but I must not be doing something right, or the answer to my question is patently obvious and I just cant see.
Anyway, I don't like taking things apart if nothing's broke. So, can anyone tell me why the rectangular metal panel that is screwed onto the back of the second (rear) seat in the 2004 C320 wagon exists?

I do believe that is a ski sack option. Possibly carried over from the sedan back seat structure. Just guessing here. But I hope it helps anyway.
