2006 C230; 2007 GL450 (2008 GL450 on order and due to arrive early to mid Aug.)
Has anybody used this setup with an iphone? I assume that I could use the ipod portion of the iphone (to listen to music), but what happens if I am listening to music from my iphone and I receive a call? Does the phone ring? Does the music stop? Can I answer with my bluetooth headset? Thanks for the info. I am thinking of buying harness this week and attempting install soon, but want to know what feature I get and how it will work.
Beans recently posted that the new part number for the aux-in cable harness is 210 440 50 05. Can anyone confirm this?
THANKS!

Hi,
I live in Europe, Portugal, and have a 2007 C220 CDI Station (W203) and no luck. I've no white plug.
But i went to Mercedes and i saw (with me own eyes) on the dealer computer that my car (have confirmed chassis number) can be retrofited with aux-in white plug. Next week i'm gonna talk with the guy who mange lectrical stuff to see if he can find the plug. maybe cause i've factory cell phone integration (just a guess). Can anybody with factory cell phone integration tell if has the white plug for aux-in ?
Sorry for my bad english.
Thanks
urtigao.

I-POD mod for Bekker 6021 HU
This is awsome!!! too bad I don't have the same head unit in my JUL 2004 C200K.
I have searched almost everywhere for a solution on getting MP3 capability on my existing Becker Audio 10 CD Player 6021 model as shown on Audio 10 website: http://www.audio-10.com/images/stori...dio-becker.jpg
I heard that one solution could be to install the Alpine CD Changer chm-s634 but I hear that I may have to take the car to MB dealer to reprogram something and also I'm not sure about compatability with the Audio 10 CD Player.
Another cheaper solution is to use my iPOD and the following cable:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BECKER-8-PIN-...sid=p1638.m122 but I'm not sure that it will work either. Is reprogramming also required?
I'm not interested in FM modulators or transmitters because of weak signal strength and/or terrible sound quality.
Any suggestions or ideas are very appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.

FrankW,
Thanks again for the reply and the supplied link.. I wonder if any forum member can verify the 2007 radio have the "C2" harness ? The .pdf you supplied might be the answer to this problem.
Thank you again.

2006 C230; 2007 GL450 (2008 GL450 on order and due to arrive early to mid Aug.)
I finally got around to doing this install. I have a 2006 C230 and picked up the cable from my dealership on my way home on friday evening for about $37 (tax in). I am not very handy so the whole thing took me about an hour (had to keep running back and forth into the house for tools and had to use a flashlight b/c it was dark outside when I was doing it).
The instructions were dead on and I appreciate everyone's posts and pics.
I even ran an aux. cable from the aux. plug in the glove box over to the center console and through the rear of the console. I remove the entire ashtray assembly and drilled a hole in the rear of the plastic assembly (I had removed the ashtray itself right when I got the car as the tray where the ashtray sits is better for holding change, etc. without the ashtray in there). I ran the aux. cable through the hole and it sits in the ashtray compartment with about 18 inches of slack. When I want to plug in my iphone to listen to music I just open up the ashtray, grab the cable and I'm good to go. When I call comes in, the song pauses automatically and I could just pick up the call on my bluetooth headset. Works like a charm. Thanks again to all that post here.

Hmmmmm
So at least some - pre facelifted, d2b? - don't seem to support AUX inputs. For sure my March 2004 c200's does not.
Also, the changer adapter you are referring to in the above post is for the non-fiber optic radios as nearly as I can tell - the fiber versions (d2b or most) do not have "wired" changer ports on them..

Ok so the car in question is a 2003 e55 amg w/ 6 disc in dash changer / harmon kardon.
Is it possible to add an aux input? What button do i push to see if the radio supports it?

It seems to be the right cable. Looks like you & I are on the same boat! "G" do you also have an Audio 10CD?

I'm not sure, what is an audio10 cd?
Any C200K prior to Aug 2004 did not get the facelift (Aug 2004 onwards got the upgrade system with AUX Input). They have the "AUDIO10 CD" which uses either D2B or MOST (more than likely D2B). As far as I know, it doesn't have AUX Input (correct me if I'm wrong). Has anybody tried this option:
