Car getting slower in dyno mode
Hello don't know if this is the place to ask this but I'm giving it a shot anyways .When i put my 2005 c230 kompressor in dyno mode the car seems to get weaker and slower?? To my understanding to turn on dyno mode you have to have the car off and in the first ignition position hold the tachometer dial until the battery voltage shows up and then use the arrows to get to the dyno meter screen where i flip it to "on" and then you turn the car on. well so i did the abs light went on and the screen in the middle read ESP diagnostics unavailable or something like that and i took the car out for a ride around. when i got to a main street i wanted to keep going straight past the main street and so there were a couple cars to my left coming my way, Typically im able to floor it and pass all those cars no problem but when i floored it the car seemed very underpowered acceleration was not the same as when dyno mode is off. i also tried doing a burnout from a standstill and the car didn't even jerk when I floored it and had the brake pushed in. is this normal?? or am i not fully turning on dyno mode somehow??

Welcome to the fourms, i think you might have another issue at hand.. idk if the 1.8l has a relasn procedure for the throttle bodys to be recalibrated but you can always try that first.

If you saw the ESP Diagnostic warning you were in dyno mode. A C230 isn't' exactly a very powerful car, not sure what you're expecting. Dyno mode turns off ABS/ESC/ETM, all the electronic assists. It doesn't make the car faster or better.
