SRS Clearing question

Have an ISoft MBII and trying to clear my stored SRS codes, unable to clear with MBII. Do I need to take to dealership just to clear these codes?

thanks in advance

Thought the MBii was able to clear codes. These are saved, not current. Ideas anyone else?

Look like the MB II should be able to clear SRS codes, assuming you have the genuine article.

The video shows the procedure for the Sprinter but you get the idea. No idea if this works for saved codes. When you say the codes aren't current, do you mean the codes have been cleared (and therefore no SRS light) but the car is showing a history of the SRS codes?

No tool will clear a current code! Saved or stored or whatever you want to call it can be cleared but only with the correct commands. Because it works on a sprinter doesn't mean it will work on your car. Totally different ecu variant. Use the proper tools and you will have no problems.

The MBII or MBIII will indeed clear stored and current codes. I use the MBIII model.

The iCarsoft tools designed for the entire Mercedes family include software for both Sprinter and MB sedans, etc.

Stop being a tool snob.

Be sure to power cycle the car OFF after erasing codes, removing the iCarsoft beforehand.. The video above outlines the procedure.

Sometimes, you will need to let the car sit for 2-4 hours for it to power down completely.

Some components take a longer power off cycle than others.

Mate you wasting your time! I work on mercedes every day. There is no such thing as clear codes a few times. No such thing as wait hours or even minutes to reset codes. Find someone with a genuine tool and your problem will be solved. Those cheap scan tools can cause more problems than they fix. I have seen it myself.
