debadging a kompressor
i have a leased c230 komp sedan and i was wondering if its hard to debadge? how exactly do you do it and, if i do decide to do it, is it easy to put back on
i did a search and it said soemthing about simply using a heat source agaisnt it and popping it off. would i have to "freehand" it to get them back on when i return the car though?

YOu don't even need a heat source.... Just use some regular floss and just floss it off and then use nail polish remover to get rid of the junk that is left over....its not hard......as for putting the letters back on, you should have the dealership put them back on...

i did mine. you can use either, dental floss, fishing wire or a credit card. i found a credit card worked well. though ive used dental floss before too. then to clean up the residue i used a clay bar, and made sure it was well lubed so it didnt scratch the paint.

BETACLEAN 3350 made by DOW Automotive.
It's a paint & plastic cleaner that removes residue from adhesives without damaging paint jobs. Highly recommended ! Works fast & clean !
Available at paint stores, and maybe, maybe places like Home Depot or Pep Boys.

There must be like 1000 threads on debadging !!! I went and read a few and just used dental floss and took the excess double side tape off with my finger. After that a little carnauba wax and DONE !

awwwww, we got a butch one. Your car matches you very well Citron. Small, cute, and so annoying. One can always believe their butch, but where's the truck????? Only see a bright flaming car!
