Cylinder head gasket question

The front most part of the cylinder head gasket that connects to the timing case has gotten slightly bent and I can not seem to get the timing cover on the dowels without removing that bent part. I was thinking of cutting off the portion that's in the way and use a healthy amount of the MB sealant instead. Will this be sufficient for a seal? TIA

Is it where head, block and cover meet? It will leak anyway after a while, I would try it with RTV.

Yea. So you don't think the RTV will be enough to prevent leaking?

Its not a big deal, a minor leak is quite common there
