dude, you can't be serious! i have an Audio30 in my garage. ill sell it to you for hmmmmm, say $90 i fyou can get that one for $100. mine has only been used 1 day in my car. replaced with Audio10 the day i picked up the car.

what kinda of car does she have, and why didnt her W203 C-Class come with it? if it isnt a W203 or W209 it wont work.

if its a 01-04 W203 or 03-04 W209 without COMAND then it came with an Audio30 stock. i just dont understand why you would "retrofit" this radio in a C/CLK (203/209) class. what chasis type does she have?

im trying to stay on neutral ground. i was pointing out a fact that Audio30 is a stock head unit and i dont think you can retrofit it into another model besides 203/209 and maybe even a 463 since it has the same center console. since it is stock in the US, even you didnt get COMAND, there is no difference. even if you could put it in another model (any model, doesnt matter, Audio30 is nothing special , and in my honest opinion i would think you would be downgrading. Audio30 isnt spectacular at all and definately not worth $100.

nah, "nicedeboy" has had it coming for a really LONG time... if he does quit these forums (unlikely) then good riddance ! He's bordered on being BANNED a couple of times anyway. 9 out of 10 posts, he would just be out to flame, ridicule, demean, or sabotage people. Don't take this thread as a sample of what the Mercedes forum is all about. But if you want, take a look at all of "nicedeboy's" posts and judge for yourself. I guess it didn't take much to push all his buttons.

Many of us can be harsh, but most of the time it is in jest, as most of us (So Cal folks anyway) know each other from all the meets. Newbies get the brunt of it, only because of all the repetitive questions, and lack of searching for answers. In reality, we're all noobs looking for answers. It's just some learn the Forum Rules faster than others ! It took me a year, before I posted my first thread. Learned to use the search query really good ! Above all, have fun !

That is all fine and dandy, but IMO if you would give Nicedeboy a taste of his own medicine, he might stop. You are a good guy Doug, but enough is enough... there are a few of us who have no problem stepping in and replying to his bs when he attacks you or others. So if you must, keep the neutral ground clean so the Crow fleet can have a clean place to land

Even though nicedeboy usually does have it coming, I suppose due to his age or simple ignorance, this is my take on this forum :

They can be extremely helpful some times and then turn into real jerks if you say something that they either don't understand or simply don't like your opinion.

With some it's just their age. You'd be surprised at how many really young guys here have MB cars, since the prices of these cars have gone down and the rest of the brands have gone up.

Sometimes they'll get all over you for not using the SEARCH but the next day they're asking questions or making new threads to ask the same thing.

It's like a club for some others. They don't have many things to do after work or school and the cars are their lives, which is cool, I was there many years ago.

With others it's just a matter of...you know what, I really don't know what it is with others. Read the posts and you'll make up your own mind. Sometimes they agree with things and 2 days later they're all over you for the same thing.

Just beware of what you write.

All in all it's a great forum and you'll learn a lot here. Don't just stay in this area, go to the other areas (W202 for example) also and you'll learn a lot.

i would sell him my audio30 just so i could get rid of it. enough is enough though Drew and totally agree with you on that. plus all he does is offend people, and doesnt say anything nice at all, so when he askes for an opinion from fellow members of course everyone is going to call him out and say $h!t about his decision.
