Hey hey now!
Just wanted to say hello to everyone. A friend recommended this site. I just bought a 2005 C Class coupe and I love it! Not sure if I want to make any mods, I'm loving it just the way it is!

Congrats and welcome!
You may be thrilled with it now, but wait until you see another Coupe on the road that looks exactly like yours, and THEN you'll definitely want to start modding something, trust me.

Its interesting that you say that because I've only seen 1 other Coupe since I bought mine (late August). The sedans are all over the place though.

yes, you will eventually catch the modding bug. if you dont want it, then stay away from here. it gets expensive, TRUST ME!

congrat on your new C coupe, i have a 04 coupe my self too. I personally thinks 05 looks very nice, especially the sexy tail light. hey but what color is your coupe?? If u got a black one, have fun taking care of it!!

next time i'm in CORONA, I'll let you know (my bro lives up there).
You can stop by and check out my Coupe. It's a 2003 C320 Sport Coupe,
but from all the mods, you can't tell what it is. It's become a deformed, out-of-control mod monster. And yet still more to come.
There are occassional meets in the SoCal area, so stay tuned to these boards. They're fun and you get to see everyone's style of Benz (modded or not). Don't worry about modding for now, just enjoy it and have fun ! The COUPE is a SUPER fun car to drive. I love it 10000 times more than my C320 Sedan.

My coupe is black (non metallic). I've read all the posts about swirl marks and now I'm a bit worried. I bought my car from Fletcher and they also offer the free car washes for life. Not sure if I want them touching it now!

But if you already have swirls, you may need to polish them out. I did it last time when those monkeys at Penske decided to give me a free swirl wash.

ah i stay away from the free washes on a regular basis. though citron doesnt swirl easily, i feel better doing it myself. penske does a good job at the free wash, i just prefer to hand wash.

I wish I would have read more of the postings in these forums BEFORE I bought my car. Black wasnt my first choice but, I insisted on a 6 spd man tranny and black was the ONLY one in SoCal area with that option. So I ended up with

i had to have Citron Green, power seats, BI-Xenon, Premium package and C7 Wheel Package, and i HAD to have 6 speed as well. i ordered the car and waited, because i didnt want to settle for something.
the wait is long, sometimes not as long if they can sneak an order in, but definately worth the wait!!
