1. House of Imports and Laguna Niguel seem to be popular. Fletcher Jones is great If you have the right Salesman.

2. under MSRP? umm DREW take a deep breath for this one LOL anyways 1000 under invoice will be easy to get. Meaning 3,000 off msrp.

3. No free maintenance for 2005

Welcome

Yes no question on 3,000 off MSRP. If you have the C-Spot or Love MB tour coupon you can get an ADDITIONAL 1500 on top of that. See if you can find one.

Now Options

Metallic Paint(if not get black paint and pocket $700)
Auto Trans (Your preference)
Power Seats ( VERY convenient)
Leather (Its worth it trust me)
Sunroof pgk (no brainer)
Lighting (No question)
Entertainment (gotta have the sound)

If you have 2,000 more to spend get the COMAND. You wont be able to get it afterward with the 05.

It really depends on your budget. If your more a gadget guy forget the leather and Xenons and go for the COMAND IMO.

Price out the car at carsdirect.com first as that will be close to what you can get. I know my salesman, John Maxwell at MB of Laguna Niguel will meet or beat that price, just tell him Buellwinkle sent you. Most people get them with automatic & sunroof package at about $1,500 each and metallic paint for about $700 more making the car about $34K. The nice to haves are the lighting package with Bi-Xenons and the entertainment package with the upgraded stereo or you can just get the CD changer. Also the nav system is entertaining and almost impossible to retrofit an '05 for now. The option to avoid IMHO is premium leather (the car comes with leather inserts that are good enough).

2008 C300 Sport Sedan: Panarama Roof, P2, Multimedia
I just bought one with:

brilliant silver
automatic transmission
Bi-Xenon lighting package
Sunroof package
CD-changer

Thanks to Anaheim Drew, I got it for $1,700 below invoice + $1500 C-Spot coupon.

I got mine at Rusnak Mercedes Benz of Arcadia. Go look for Jonathon. He's a newbie salesman (3 months), eager to sell and please, really nice guy. Tell him about this deal, and see if you can get a better deal.

Congrat on ur gf's new benz, i think few option you must have or you will regret afterward is:

The lighting package - you will regret after seeing many c class with bi xenon, they are just lovely

Command System - This also make the car interior looks much better and it is very helpful

Go with Joon, he's no longer an Assistant and is incredibly knowledgable and connected. I am familiar with numerous salesfolk at Fletcher-Jones in Newport Beach, and Joon is the best.

Thumbs up

Try Marcus at House of Import in Burena Park. Got two cars from him already and always under invoice with great service. No game at all, very straight forward. I spend only 5 to 10 min to get a deal. Highly Recommend!!

He said LA area.... and based on my recent deals for 2004 I would suggest
Santa Monica WI Simmons internet Helen.. $1750 under invoice no problem on C230k...
South Bay worked a good deal for me in April, Internet only... and Manhattan Beach did o.k.
Stay out of Downtown Motors, and Beverly Hills Motors.

I'm a few hours away from choosing a dealer to buy my car and I need help FAST !!
I'm getting a C230 Sport Sedan / Sunroof / Automatic / RED / CD Changer.

HELP !!!

OK, the other dealer is giving me the same but adding Bi-xenons and Audio Package with a difference in price of $1350.00

Is this worth it ? Is the radio that much of a difference unless you're a audio expert to notice the difference ? How can I tell if it REALLY does have the audio package, is the radio different that I can see it or is the sound that noticeable ?

I would forego the Audio Package and your 6CD Changer and simply purchase a better system aftermarket for less. Xenon's are really all about personal taste. In my opinion: Nothing looks better than a dark vehicle with Xenon's at night.

I'm thinking that MB in Germany isn't going to make a $970 audio package that doesn't make at least a noticeable difference, I mean, everyone would complain and the bad publicity would hurt them. I see MB Dealers doing weird things but I don't think MBUSA would do something like this, who knows.

Anyway, after thinking a little more about it, the Bi-xenon's themselves are good and this forum is full of people complaining that they would love to have them and couldn't. The cost of adding them later is way over $1000, so I'm just going to get it and be done with it. If I look at it that way, I'm getting the audio upgrade for about $350 so it's not bad. It's only money right ? In 3 or 4 years I'll most likely be selling it to buy a newer one so it might just help in the long run.

Thanks for your input,

Carlos

This afternoon I locked in the deal with the Sales Manager and he'll be sending me the paperwork tomorrow morning. I'll probably be picking it up either tomorrow afternoon or Friday (too much work for tomorrow that I can't postpone ) and I need a ride to go get it.

As soon as I pick it up I'll take pictures and post them .

Thanks

While it does make a noticable difference, there are numerous aftermarket systems which cost much less, and make much more of a difference.

Doubtful. Most options (including Audio Packages) depreciate at a horrendous rate. Take a look at the cost of your Audio Package now, then see what KBB.com rates the value of such a system on a four y/o C-Class to see the four-year depreciation.

You're probably right, but since it didn't cost me $975, I paid about $1323 for Bi-xenons, Headlamp washers, and the audio upgrade. If you look at what Bi-xenons cost right now, I think the audio pacakge came out to maybe $300. I don't know of many things to buy for that small amount. Installation charges alone can eat that up.

Also, and more important to me, after owning so many cars in my lifetime and doing so many modifications, I've decided that I'm going to only do cosmetic modifications and not mess with anything electrical, sans maybe a few bulbs or things like that.

Engineers in Germany have spent many years studying and refining these systems and when we start messing even slightly with them, things might start to happen.

I learned this when my friends were always having to get towed behind my jetski because they would break down and mine was always faithfully working. They had the fastest jetskis, with all the latest gadgets, but only when they were working. Funny how a guy in a basement in California can make some changes to a piece of metal and suddenly everyone has to have one in their jetski engine, no matter how it affects the rest of the engine.

Anyway, I've already bought it and I think I made a good desicion based on what I want , the money I wanted to spend, the advice of the nice people of this forum and the price I was able to haggle from the dealer, oh yeah, I forgot to say that I ended up getting the best price from the MB dealer even though they had given me the highest price 2 weeks ago for the same car !! It might be that 2 weeks ago I spoke with a salesman and today I ended up speaking with the Sales Manager when nobody would answer the messages I left on the sales floor voice messaging system and I called to complain to him.

Oh yeah, and I might just take the CD Changer out and sell it since I know I'm not going to use it. My Sportrac has an integrated cd changer and I never use it because I forget in which number each specific CD is and I have to end up listening to all before I find the one I want. I prefer just listening to the one I want when I want it. I also only use the CD when there's nothing good on or when the signal is bad, but with so many stations here, that's hardly the case.

If I sell my CD Changer and just keep the already installed 12 speakers, 320 watt audio amplifier, sub woofer, and the Harman Kardon radio, that would make the audio upgrade free, how's that for a deal ?

Just looking at your sig...

What rims are you planning to get? Or are you going to chrome the stock 5-spokers? I saw chromed stock'ers at the dealer on a red and it looked pretty good.

Never thought about chroming mine 1- because I'd be stuck for a week or so without using my new car 2- I don't like the stock rims.

I'll either buy new 17" rims and use my stock tires or buy 18" w/ tires. Here's the rim I like, the ADR "Sterling". I've asked around for prices and I got $205 each for 18" up to now. Still waiting to find out if ADR is any good though.

Are you close to the dealer ? Do you have a digital camera ? It would be great to see a red car with chrome rims. I've been searching all over the internet but nothing.

South Bay Mercedes in Torrance, definetly the cheapest...only if you go straight to their Internet Sales Manager and skip all the idiot salesperson.

My gf's car MSRP $37,500, our price $34,000 -$1500 C spot coupon = $32,500.

Does it sound reasonable? There are only 3 cars equipped with all these package in southern cali right now.

Thanks

If you don't want to haggle, take the price you were offered....it is $1750 under invoice like I told you it would be in our pm's

Somehow I think the forum's server messed up here because this last post doesn't go with what we're talking about . I think it was supposed to go somewhere else. Drew, check it out .
