Got a 03 Sport Sedan C230 and I love mine, I personally was going to get an IS300 but my wife is Japanese and she only let me buy German?! (i guess in Japan if you drive German cars thats the Sh*t) Any ways...here are few personal recommendations:

For sure get the Bose sound option, unless for sure you gonna go aftermarket after you buy the car. I have the Bose and its decent....so the stock must be pretty bad I assume....

I would get the Illuminated door sills, I think thats pretty dope....unless again..you wanna buy it on ebay and do it yourself later and save couple of hunderd bucks...

mmm...this one again depends on your budget and what you plan to do with it after you buy it but you could throw in AMG rims as an option i think for 1250 which on the back they are 17x8.5 istead of 17x7.5 so you can fit 245s on the back....but again if you want to later go to like 18s, 19s....monoblock multipieces...then save your money

i have to be honest....now that have my benz, i'm much happier than if I had the is300 specially the interior of the benz is aweosme compare to the IS,

only problem with the car as some suggested is if you reallly lookin for horsepower, the engin is 1.8 liter and if you see on the Forum no one has had a successfull engin upgrade (i.e. pully kit) to get more out of it.... I think at most there is about another 10~30 hp left in it maybe.... if i had the is and threw a S/C on it i be smokin M3s but again....im happy with my car right now.... :p

I think Mr. Soze is referring to an IS300 when he's talking about adding a supercharger.

If you're adding wheels, go aftermarket. AMG wheels are too commonplace. I presonally don't like having the same wheels as many other MB's on the road. I fI wanted that look, I save money and stay with the stock setup.

But, do get Bose if not doing aftermarket upgrades in that dept; get C4, you'll never regret it.

Is the C4 really that nice to have? I'm currently shopping for a C230k sedan and was looking for a car with the following equipment:

Auto trans
C2
C3
Heated seats

Should I add C4 to the wish list? Trying to keep the cost reasonable, but don't want to regret not having something down the road since I plan to keep this one for a while...

Adding the bi-xenons later will cost twice as much and you won't have auto-leveling or the heated headlight washers.

Get the xenons. If you haven't had a car equipped with them, you don't know what you're missing. Driving at night and in foul weather is many times better with xenons compared to the standard halogen headlamps. Unlike some other options, this one lives up to the hype. If you're worred about cost, ditch the folding seats. How often are you going to use them anyway?

$30,300 (doesn't say in sig, also included the Bose Audio and CD Changer - I just hate Bose and don't want to give their name any press).

Mine was about $500 under invoice - you need to factor in that at $30k with c2, c4 and bose + cd changer.

You're *****ting me?? Did I say the IS had a 1.8?? Re-read Soze's post. He said "if i had the is and threw a S/C on it i be smokin M3s..." He doesn't want to throw an S/C on the C230 because I'm sure he knows it has a supercharger. Jeezus!

Whatever... I was just trying to clear things up for you dude, I wasn't putting you down or anything. I don't care.

Jeff is right. You won't regret the $750 on the C4. If you wait, and get it post-production, you'll be looking at around $1100 without auto-leveling and no headlamp washers. And you'll have to install it yourself. Now, $750 doesn't sound too bad.
