new c230k owner -- a few questions
first off, i effing love this car. i went from a 2000 honda civic EX to this -- there's no comparison.
anyway, i opted to go without the tele-aid package in order to lower the bottom line price of the car. it's only 5 days old, and i'm regretting this decision as i live in an ungaraged apartment complex and would definitely like the security aspects of tele-aid. does anyone know if it's possible to add the tele-aid system after the fact? i'm sure its expensive, but i'd like to see what my options are.
also, how long do you have to hold the key in the ignition to turn the engine? my salesperson said you could just switch it on, but twice my car has failed to properly start by doing this. is there something wrong with my car or was the salesperson misinformed?
thanks all...

the tele-aid can be installed at the dealership after market i think
the engine firing system is computerize in all MBs all you have to do is to turn the key to the second (which is flat) position and give it a little twist and let go...and the computer will start the engine for you.

you have an automatic transmission, right?
as for teleaid, you consensus is that it is not a desirable feature and most people cancel the service after the 1st year. i don't have a cell phone, so sometimes, i think i should have gotten it, but i like to live dangerously
