Built-In Garage Door Opener
Hi all,
I'm still learning the features of my '02 C240 and I'm trying to program my built-in garage door opener. I have a Genie garage door remote and it doesn't seem to be working with it. I reset the programing of the buttons, and followed the directions to set them up but it doesn't work. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong (maybe I need to hold the button when trying to open the door?) but if anyone has ran into this issue or know a fix to it please let me know. Thanks!

I had the same problem. After some research I discovered that older Genie openers have a button on the motor unit that you need to press during programming. I believe the newer models use the remote control during programming. If you have an older garage door opener check the motor housing for the programming button.
Also, on my 2005 the ignition switch needs to be on for Homelink to work. Your 02 is likely to be be the same.
