Center Console Lid Stuck in Closed Position - C200 Saloon 2016

Really in need of your help from the experts here.
My C200 Saloon 2016 has an issue; the center console lid is stuck in the closed position. I am afraid that I had a mobile phone charging cable with a USB adapter in the battery charger slot while closing the lid accidentally.
Is there any tips/ tricks to open the lid in this situation? What would be your advice to sort this out?

Looks like I am trying to solve the same problem (here: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ml#post8540912). Can you guide me in figuring out what exactly were you looking for while viewing through that slit you posted? I am still not sure what exactly could be blocking the lid from going down and where would that be. I think my adapter laying in the cigarette outlet was the one that was too big and blocked the lid from going down.
