2004 C230 Komp SS....valet trunk lock removed Fu%king pissed

After a shooting competition, I decided to go to a decent restaurant to catch a meal. As I got to the valet, I pulled the valet key out and tried to lock my trunk. The key would turn a quarter of the way and then jam. After fumbling around with this for a while I finally gave up and decided it must be broken. The valet boy said in a condecending tone, "don't worry about it and what could be so important". I opened the trunk and his eyes went wide as saucers as he saw the long assault cases and all my tac gear. He nodded his head and walked away. I took my car in to the dealer and after they fumbled around with it for a while called me back the next day to inform me that the valet lock on the trunk was phased out for 04 and 05. I have no clue why they would do something dumb like that.......rant off.

Yep, that's such an idiotic thing for MB to do. I have no clue why they did it. I thought that it was only the 05's, now the 04's too? Stooopid... I thought it was a temporary "between year" thing, but I guess nothing can really explain how stupid they were...

I'm not a big fan of valet's, and this makes it even worse. It was good you showed the valet the gear though, I swear, some valets...
