Well.....it turns out that the ESTIMATE was for $3700. The total came to $4800! But at least I have it back. And wouldn't you know it.....I leave the shop and cruise home, testing the car out with my girlfriend following me. In traffic, I pass an S4 going about 25-30 mph. Well, he would have none of that! He weaves in and out to catch up to me, slows down beside me to check out my car and make sure that I see his, and then floors it. Again, this is within 1 mile of leaving the shop! Does it ever end?!?! I couldn't be bothered with the S4....it looked like an older model so I wasn't going to waste my time. Then, to top it off, I look down and notice that my display says "Coolant Check Level".....dammit!

that sucks you got your valve stem cover ripped off. glad to hear you got your car back. my estimate came in around $3500 and was nearly $6k total. it sucks to have your car in the body shop but feels good to get it back!
