Anybody repaired rust on a 2003 C class model.
I have a C180 1,8 komp avantgarde with some rust issues im having fixed.
But I wanna fix them so they don't come back.
The rear fenders have a really bad construction with a U fold where all the water sticks when road dirty and rust.
I had one repaired with a different end angle so the water can't lay there and do its work.
Like to talk with other who have same type of car and dealing with rust issues.
Thanks alot
Andreas Denmark
It says mine is from last moth of 2003, don't really know if they managed to galvanize those models?

When was the build date (month) for your car exactly? There's no way it can be December 2003, or your car would be a MY2004.
Whats the easiest way doing that ? ;-)
I guess it says it somewhere under the helmet right?

Interesting. That would make your car Q3 2003, which means your car should've been fully and properly galvanized. Also means your car is MY2004 and therefore has the new ceramic nano paint.
Just curious, is your a car a sedan, wagon, or coupe?

The rust isn't visible in the photos. If it hasn't gone through the sheet metal, maybe a body shop can dissolve the rust and paint the inner fenders. Probably best to get it professionally done.

Its the Avantgarde model whit "sportsprogram" and and more tight suspension.
Think they been on since birth.
About the rust, yeah it doesn't look that bad but there is some tear.
The problem or the thing to consider is that we look way up under the car and where body meets the bottom .. there is some serious repair to be done
if one what's to keep the car running for many years to come.
We looking at minimum 3000 $ repair whole cabin out and serious work on the metal parts where chassis meet underwagon (sry for my English).
But I think its worth it, I really love that car.
