Well that makes two of us with the SLK brabus knob on a sedan 
. Yes, it's alcantara suede - matches the F1 safety car steering wheel perfectly, charcoal on both.

they're not as nice as you would think they are. my friend has a 330Ci performance package (ZHP for those who knows Bimmer) It comes with the alcantara steering wheel. He's saying that the alcantara after some wear will ball-up/harden in certain places where you usually grip the wheel and it'll shafe your hand when that happens. did't exactly go with the planned two tone steering wheel...went with the alcantara and leather instead.
