W203 base Climate Control Buttons (gooey) & Vent Tabs
Hey, Community-
Does anyone have a source for new buttons for the temp knobs on the base Climate Control? Seems 'Benz used the same substance as is used for every button on the inside of early-'00's Maseratti's. Originally, these felt "tacky""and kinda' grippy. 20 years on, and now they feel "gooey" and gross. Oh, and that "plastichrome" on the vent tabs sux. (Folks with piano black slathered all over the interiors of their C63's will soon be singing the same song.)
In any event, if you've been able to find these things, please share!

That's them! Never used Ali...gress this is a good time to start.
As for the vent tabs, they are avail for the W204, but not the W203. =-( https://www.venttabs.com/venttabs-me...c-vent-repair/
The complete vent faceplates are $120 or so on e-vilBay. Aw, hell, I just paid $350 for a wood wheel for it... because details are important.

Ali can be a bit hit and miss, but I generally found it to be OK, (use reviews to gauge the seller).. also, use a credit card for insurance, that way you can do a charge back if there is any issues down the track ..

Personally I just wiped off all the goo with rubbing alcohol. The buttons are now no longer "soft touch" but it's no big deal.
