Black strip @ bottom of rear bumper

Black strip @ bottom of rear bumper
I wanted to know if any of you guys know where i can get this black strip that goes on the bottom part of the rear bumper. It looks like the one they on the CLK models. Does anybody know which ones i'm talking about?

I've seen it mostly on AMG models. Last night when i picked up my car from the dealer i looked closely at one of them and they looked like a glued on black piece of vinyl or plastic. It goes on the bottom part of the rear bumper. If you look at the rear bumper of the 2005 c230's, you'll notice an indentation on the bottom part. I was thinking of painting that part black, but if you guys know another option aside from painting.
I was going to ask the parts department but they were already closed. They looked pretty cool.

i am soo lost. the only part on my rear bumper i could imagine you are talking about it islready black on mine. it is shaped round and where the spare tire sits when inside the truck. the rest of the bumper is green on my car. do you have a pic or something as reference?

Your 2005 Sedan already has the AMG bumpers, so if the other AMG models you saw had a black vinyl or plastic part at the bottom of their bumpers, they may be exclusive to that type of AMG car model, and not available for the C-Class Sedan. Then again if you have the $$$ and connections in Affalterbach, anything is possible from AMG.

here's an idea. Why dont you go to a Vinyl Sticker shop and have them take measurements of that bottom part of your bumper. Then have them make the sticker which you can just stick on there..

CARLOS, yes my '05 sedan does come with an AMG style bumper. From what i read, my car's body style was from the previous model C32, right? So did the C32 have that black piece on the bottom bumper?

FrankW or Mr. Wiedermann, could best answer that for you. Check Mr. Wiedermann's recent posting on his C55 quad exhaust that he has installed on his C32 AMG. Plenty of pictures of his rear set up.

It's hard to see the bottom black part because his car is dark, but you can at least tell what the C32 AMG bumper looks like from this pic, should be very similar to what the regular 2005 C Sedans have.

nevertheless...
On the attached photo, notice how the exhaust tip is reflected on the bottom bumper surface. As you've previously mentioned this part should be MB flat black, therefore no reflection should be visible.
