2002 C240 transmission issue? Followup
I just got my car back after 3 weeks in the shop. They were unable to find a "decent", used shifter so I paid for a new one. A thousand dollars out the door.
Shifting is fine but now the radio doesn't work. I didn't realize when I was driving the car home. The lights are on the display but no sound. I checked the fuse for the "sound system" today and it is fine.
Is it possible that something was disconnected, damaged, whatever, when they opened the console area to replace the shifter?
Any pearls of wisdom would be so appreciated.

Glad you got your car back.
Sounds like they forgot to reconnect the speakers at the back of the radio. There are 3 connectors total. Don't know the exact pinouts but basically 1 is power and the other 2 are for speakers.
Next time it's best to continue your old thread instead of starting a new one. People reading this thread will have no idea about your transmission woes.
