Upgrade Restiling Coupe: Chrome Strips.
Hello,
Someone has the chrome strips in they coupe? The "door oppener" also has it.
Is it possible to retrofit it? Looks very good.
Here in Spain there are new coupes with it and 2005 without it.
Best Regards.
Ruben.

It's a 220 CDI (DIESEL). Don't like the exhaust tips too; Here all diesel cars come with the exhaust tips looking to the floor.
Best Regards.

I think they call that chrome trimming the "Avantgarde" option package in Europe. You can go crazy with the chrome trim. SCHATZ makes a whole lot more chrome stuff for the COUPE too, including: headlamp rings, side mirror covers, door handle shells, fender trim, and door edges. Too much, in my opinion....
exhaust: yeah, even the AMG tips (part # B6 603 0817) for the C200CDI, C220CDI are pointing down like that...

At least I know exactly how it would look on my car. I think it looks OK, but the door handles look great. More mod ideas pop up on here on a daily basis.

I am just getting the fever, unlike you Citron. I am waiting on my big COMAND mod next month. I might have to go for those door handles as I didn't get the Evo package so mine are black and tacky!!

or in your case: the CITRON plague !
Doug, check with Gaiex, who has a COUPE in Portugal or Rubensans in Barcelona, for prices on these chrome trimmings. Or, of course, check with MBenzNL in the Netherlands.
I got a lot of flack for my chrome headlamp rings before I got the Bi-X, so I'm actually surprised some of you guys now like all this chrome stuff. I'm painting my headlamp rings to match the body color (744), and will see how they look with the Bi-X and new AMG front bumper.

Carlos, IMO the chrome headlight rings just dont look right!
the chrome strips on the side strips and the door handles, first are OEM, a big + for me, second they are a mod to be different, third, im always up for some change.
I'm a little hesitant to do so right now, just because i already spent several hundred dollars on 2 front strips, a rear strip for PTS and having them painted.
