run a search....

I'll help you out anyway.

There's realy nothing out yet POWER wise for the 03+ M271 motors. There are a few companies making Supercharger pulleys as we speak but dont expect anything immediately. As far as Chip goes, there is the powerchip. But that cost close to $800 for 10hp.. you just have to go from there.

hmm... I've never seen that before. It looks like a surge protector/line filter or something. I think that it claims way too much if it is...

I don't know what this thing is. I remember a few months ago there were several threads of gizmos like this one, and each one was proven to be a scam. Not saying this one is, but it just looks like a box of Peanutles with wires sticking out.

As someone said before... who's going to be the Guinea Pig and try it on their car ? We had an overwhelming response of:

ZERO volunteers !

I think you best bet for a low price is stickers, like powered by Honda has been known to add 10 HP. Seriously, the only kits out there are like from Renntech for $2K for an advertised 20HP (probably only 16-18HP on a dyno if you are lucky) and nobody on any MB forum I participate in has tried it.

10HP? Man, you're getting ripped... The type R sticker has the most HP, it's like an extra 100hp. C230 Kompressor type R!

You beat me to it, I was about to say the same thing about how much more HP the stickers add. Don't forget about the grocery cart handle wing on the back either thats good for another 15hp.

OH! I totally forgot, the fire extinguisher. Not only does it give you 10hp, but it also comes in handy when you're doing crazy speeds and your car just starts shooting flames out!

I don't know why most of you guys turn it a funny thread when someone ever asks "how to get more HP out car thread" It would be funny if there's just one or two posts trying to be humorus, such as " putting on stickers, and other uncessary RICE comments" But if goes on 3 pages, 4, 5, 6, etc.. It wouldn't really be that funny anymore. Perhaps, makes who ever started the thead sound like a weirdo for trying to get more HP out of this car, and asking a stupid question.

If this thread was posted in another fourm, Honda, Nissan, VW, Ford, etc... You would actually get more true replies such as "Intake, exhaust systems, Turbo kits" instead of long threads of "humorus posts" The TRUTH is Mercedes are not Cheap to tune, and as of now venders for performance parts are limited to very few compare to other car manufactures. Parts are expansive for Mercedes, and that is a reason why its difficult to tune Mercedes if you are not planning to spend a lot of money.

If we are talking about a Honda Civic (Which can be easily tuned) You buy an AEM Intake for $200 and you get 3-5HP increase alone, add a cat-back exahust for another $300 you get almost 10HP increase) on Mercedes, we don't get the "luxury" of countless aftermarket performance parts.

If you don't plan on spending large amount of cash on ECU upgrades, and Pulley upgrades, here are some of my idea for getting most HP out of your car:

-Take all unnecessary things out of the car (Reduce Weight)
-Replace Rear-Diff. Fluid, Transmission fluid, and engine oil to something better. (Amsoil, Redline, or other synthetic fluid) I've seen doing this on a stock Camero Z28 resulted in a 8HP increase on a dyno machine.
-Better ignition wires (Better ignition and better electric flow)
-Better Spark Plugs
-Take off the standing MB emblem and replace it with a flat one for AERO Dynamic.. (Reduce Drag)
Other then that is really just ECU and Pulley and Exhaust system. Which are pretty pricey.

Sure, we can tell you "Intake, exhaust systems, Turbo kits" and unless you put that on a Honda and tow your MB you are outa luck. You bought a luxury car, not too many people want to hot rod a Cadillac, Buick or an MB. Did you see any of these brands in Fast and Furious? So when an MB tuner comes out with something, he has to recoupe all his investment in 10-50 customers, not very profitable, certainly not like the thousands of customers for a CAI kit for Civics. So unless you are prepared to pay thousands for modest gains it just becomes a joke, maybe an inside joke because we all heard it before but a joke non the less.

No flame here NOOB but the best thing to do is to use the search feature of the forum first. Learn all you can and then ask questions for clarification. There is a lot of information at your figure tips already since others before you have asked and been answered.
