Bixenon Bulbs. (Type & Removal) --> Bulb FUSE in COLD?
The bulb in the bixenons is D2S? (or D2R?)
Anyone can post some basic instructions on how to take it out? (the connector is easy, but the bulb.....). Don't have the manual for bixenons.
Best Regards.
Ruben.
P.S. When I start the car in cold the passenger bulb don't start and the screnn tells me driving bulb fuse. Then I stop the car and restart it and all is OK. (No message and bulb working). Could it be the ballast and in cold don't work well? any idea?

All projector xenon headlights use D2S bulbs...headlights with frosted lenses use D2R bulbs...
As for the pass side not lighting up: 9 out of 10 times that it caused by the igniter...
greetingz,

are wanting to retrofit these onto the relector style headlights? if so you will only get xenon, not bi-xenon.
the BIX projectors look so much better though, so you are not only paying for the BIX, you are paying for the look.

im not sure. i think the ballast is mounted on the bottom of the BIX assembly from what ive seen and not sure if replacing that will help. are there relays you can check? im just throwing ideas out there. i retrofitted xenon lights on my VW i owned and the relay was going bad and wouldnt light all the time. replacing that helped. that was in a retrofit situation though, OEM.
i havent had any problems with my lights turning on with my MB, then again i live in southern cali so we dont have much extreme cold weather here.

I didn't want cold for temperature. Here in Spain also Warm;
I will put an example:
If I use the car everyday, NO PROBLEMS.
When I don't use the car in 2-3 Days, when I start the passeger bulb is off and bulbout apears in the screen; then I sutdown the engine and restart it 1 or 2 times and work.
It seems that something like a capacitator in the bixenons need to charge himself but do it to slow forcing bulb out to apear; Then the next time is charged and lights work and bulbout don't apear.
Best Regards.

maybe the ballast. doesnt that shoot the high voltage into the ignitor or bulb. maybe the ballast isnt getting enough "juice" when the car has been shut down for a while?

This seems to be a kit with external igniter. (I supose the other ones have the igniter inside the ballast.)

but, can I also buy the ballast/wire/conector that has the igniter integrated? At least philips make them. I think it will be easy to replace since I will only have to change the ballast and pass te cable with the connector inside. In the other way I would have to start thinking how to disasemble the light, make the connections etc.....
Where I can buy a igniter and how much is it (aprox.).
Best Regards,
Ruben.
