Tapping into Fiber Ring for 6310i install

Hi everyone. Newbie's first post here. I just purchased my first benz '02 w203 coupe and the Nokia 6310i kit from steve. The problem we're having is finding the place to tap into the fiber ring.

The car is non-bose and has the changer. In the right rear of the car, the only connector is "tel-in" which is spliced to "radio-out." There's also the SBS loop back there but it just loops upon itself.

It appears that one fiber from the pse runs to this rear trunk connector and the other runs to the front of the car. If that's the case, why was everything working okay before the PSE was installed (i.e., the loop was likely open)? What am I missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. I'm an audi convert and loving it!

Each fiber connector has two elements...an "in" and an "out". Disconnect the Tel In from the Radio Out and plug the Radio Out into the PSE connector. The one you have marked Tel In is probably for the optional teleaide

Thanks for the quick reply. Here's what I saw when I lifted the black panel off the front of the trunk. You'll see the in-line connector. One side is the tel-in and the other is radio out. I used a light at the PSE and found the Tel-In side goes directly to the PSE and the radio out side does not.
Here's a pic of the PSE with the fiber hooked up. Prior to hooking this up, there was just a 90 degree connector with a green cap on it and that DB50 connector.

I'm wondering where I should look for the other end. Is it already hooked up? Everything was working (changer and radio and amp) prior to the install and I have not changed any of the wiring from the pics. Thanks so much!
