2005 C230 Kompressor (w203) 152,xxx miles.
1. Air Leak - when driving and someone passes me on the left I feel a burst of air as they pass, as though there’s a hole in my door. Checked the weather stripping and seals, but everything seems fine to the naked eye. There’s some rust along the very bottom edge of the door but not enough that it would seem to be an issue. Anyone have experience with this / pinpoint an issue?
2. Water Leak - I live in Florida and since Hurricane Ian in late September I’ve had problems with my driver’s side floor getting wet when it rains. There was 3-4” of standing water in both the driver’s side front and rear foot well after the hurricane. I took the seats and carpet out but couldn’t find anything suggesting a leak. I also cleaned out the sunroof drain (vacuum and compressed air) and the engine drains but there wasn’t anything suggesting a blockage. The carpet still gets wet (only on driver’s side) when it rains. I’m tired of keeping Damp Rid in the car. I’ll check the drains again and confirm the tubing is connected properly. If it’s not that, what could it be?
This is the driver’s side rear foot well the day after the hurricane. The leaves blew in when I had the door open to survey the damage.
