oh yeah i forgot to mention, took sunman 3 hours for yours. took us nearly 10 hours and spread over 3 days, and lots of little cuts on my fingers and a big chunk taken off my knuckle.

what a mod! when i had a carfrom merc when mine was being serviced and it had this in it. i didnt know that you could retro fit, were the plugs in the wiring harness allready there? did it plug straight in? how did you get the proximity sensors into the bumpers? nice car mate!!

 

the parts required for this mod are:
Switch row w/ PTS button, 10 senors/clips/washers, main wiring harness, front/rear bumper harnesses, front/rear display harnesses, front impact stips, rear strip, dash vent and dial, front/back displays, control unit, and relay.

the old impact strips get replaced with one with holes, the sensors get placed in the new strips. you have to run the main harness from the front of the car near the headlight to the boot. along the way the diplay harnesses branch off. also the bumper harnesses are attached at each end. esentially it is all plug and play. all the components plug right in. its a matter of getting to the areas to install the stuff.

 

please mate, can you send me your parts list-in detail, as i'm gonna get the parts. it is quite a common option over here and i should be able to get them cheap from the breakers yard(lots of unlucky punters smashing their mercs!!).
if you have any part numbers or pictures that would be exellent.
