How can I remove the stupid A-Pillar???
#4
Well, as you found out, it has to be pulled straight off of the retaining clips. And those clips can break, but more often than not, the pillar tends to crack first unless it's done asolutely, postively right. Fortunately, if it's only a crack and not a break (loose piece), it looks just fine when put back together.
I know. I've done it.

That 'kick panel' has 2 yellow clips holding it to the metal door frame. Put a flat-head screwdriver behind the yellow clip and pry it away from the metal door frame.
The mistake I made was that I thought the yellow clip came loose from the kick panel. It doesn't (easily), yet I guess you learned that the hard way.
I have removed a ton of other panels now (and posted several threads asking for help yet didn't get any) so if you want help with other panels, PM me.
