that's a 86 for sure. my dad had a European spec midnight blue 300SEL in Taiwan that he sold it in 98 after 12 years. You can tell by the side molding/lower body. I had great childhood memories in that car.

anywayz, wish we can see more of these classic in the future meet

btw, post more pics!!! hah

the new molding headlamps with wipers, and the 15 hole flat face alloys made such a difference on that body 3after the facelift in 1986 model year. much better looking than the pre-86 W126's IMO. teddy and krista said they would talk to members from their forums and spread the word. hopefully we will see more of these older models.

It's always nice to see the old-skool MB's showing up at the meets.
I think they give a nice sense of community to us owners of newer MB models. I hope we can really hype up their presence in future meets.

Need to get Patrick and his W123 back in line too !

Fun to see the W202's show up as well !

W123 is absent for now

Carlos, yes I suck!

Doug, I wish I did attend. Too bad I'm having the car repaired at the body shop.

Ran into an accident a few weeks ago and hopefully it will be ready for the next meet. Of course it will be cleaned up as before, after the repairs I dread all the dirt and dust but I hope it turns out to be ok. Might have to skip the Meguiar's too.

With the new radiator and thermostat hopefully I can now catch up with you guys running 110mph without the temp soaring to 100 deg C Will save up for the Euro's, if I decide on them. Or will replace old headlights with new bezels. Anybody care to make donations too?

I'd definitely attend the next one if my schedule permits it. And it's just 15 minutes away south of our place here in Anaheim (the SoCal Euro Meet @ Katella?)

Are there Filipinos here? Pretty interesting to see kababayans as well at the next meet.

W202 owner

Thanks man for the remark. I am the owner of the white w202 (c280) at the rosebowl meet. My name is harout and my cousins car is a c230 compressor not a c280. I liked all of the cars at the meet. I didnt even have time to wash the car. lol. I am actually selling my car to get a newer benz so if you know anyone that is interested let me know.

Doug, what happened to your username?

I'll make sure to clean the diesel injector tubes too, we could use that as a frying grille

Anyway, I'll be picking up my baby tomorrow. I hope they did a good job at fixing the body damage. Also be receiving some parts thru UPS (headlight bezels, etc) and install them within the week. Went ahead with US DOT spec lights for now. After the accident I couldn't risk spending $240 per pair of Euro's. Well, maybe next time.

Should be decent and in good working condition by mid-Nov.

EDIT: Sorry I skipped a few posts. Guess that's MB World's way of saying Happy Halloween?

dude, i wish i knew. sometime last week it started acting up. id click on a thread and i would get a window saying im trying to access restrcited areas of MBWorld, i dont have supervisor privlidges. so then i figure i would clear the cookies and log back in. well i did that and not its saying invalid password. then i go to forgot my password link, where it emails you a new one, i enter in my email address and its saying invalid email. even though im still getting subscription thread notices and emails for webmaster@mbworld.org. i dont know. ive submitted like 5 requests for help and posted a thread on the help board. emailed about half the moderators. so im like whatever at this point.

btw, Frank, nice pic.

Finally got the car and installed the parts I bought for it.

No Euro's yet, but new headlight bezels and grille. And some other small tidbits. Car looks OK but still noticeable when you really look. I hope to gradually fix it myself as the weeks pass by.

Glad it's fixed already. Did you give them candies?
