The lower control arm that the spring sits on is not lining up with the spindle/knuckle (whatever properly called) . I had to struggle with a crow bar and then buy another arm. It is the correct part. I destroyed the bushing doing this too. What could it be -- an alignment? I never tried the other side and of course I wouldn't yet.
