Woodgrain Steering Wheel???
Has anyone else tried to get the woodgrain/leather steering wheel for the c320 from the MB factory? The wood inserts don't go all the way across the top and bottom of the wheel. I don't understand why mercedes has the full wood insert on every other class except the c-class. They even charge the same price for it as the s-class and the clk-class which both have the full wood. Basically, my only option if I want a woodgrain/leather wheel is to go aftermarket. Has anyone seen or put the Brabus or Lorinser wood/leather wheels on their C? Does Carlsson even make a steering wheel like that?

I think the M-B wood/leather wheel is available at performanceproducts.com last time I checked. Price is $479 I think. Check under C320 accessories.

Thankfully, I did my homework first and didn't order them. The whole wheel must be purchased from MB and it would have cost $860 installed! That's way too much for a wheel with less then 1/3 of the woodgrain there should be. You can see a pic of it on the MB website. Goto build c-class, then section 3 which is accessories and click the pic of the wood/leather matched wheel.

The one at performance products is the wrong one. The picture is a very good pic of what I'm complaining about. It looks exactly like the one Mercedes sells with the small wood inserts instead of full wood across the top and bottom.
