I'd like to see valet service at an event where everyone drives a Mercedes-Benz. What a cluster-f#^K.
The way it works is when you come in with your car, you are given a ticket stub with a number. The other parts of the ticket have MAKE, COLOR, and PLATE# which gets attached to the key ring and hung on a keyboard with corresponding numbers (usally 100 hooks, ticket #1001 would go on hook #1 etc). The last part of the ticket is just the number and goes on the windsheild. And yes, panic buttons work great for finding cars in a big/crowded lot when in a hurry! So having multiple MBs at once is usually not a problem if we have rings to hang the key by.

Which exacerbates the problem, since MB keys don't have a ring to hang anything on. So much for German engineering.

And that actually caused me a problem once with the valet service once. Becuase when I gave them my car I locked the glove comp. and took that metal key with me (cuz it has they keys of my home and everything)
So, the person took my key but couldn't hang it on the keyboard. And left it on top of it... But no one knew that. So when I wanted to pickup my car they looked on the number and couldn't find the key. I had to wait for a while until they noticed the key laying on top of the keyboard!!

A good side of this story is that they didn't take it for a ride either since they coudn't see the key
