Question Trunk Liner w/ PULL-DOWN handles

When did the interior trunk liner on the W203 Sedan add those two PULL-DOWN handles ???

I know the 2004.5 C Sedans did NOT have them. The 2006 C-Sedans do.
Was that added in 2005 or 2006 ???

I'll post pictures later, if you don't know what I'm talking about,
but basically there are two plastic tabs screwed onto the liner, (both printed: PULL) visible if you look up (next to the green trunk release button) when you fully open the trunk.

Anyway, I upgraded that on my wife's C320 SS yesterday....
then went to the dealer to drool on G55's

My '03 has just one handle right next to the latch on the smaller part of the interior of the trunk near the exterior metal.

Thanks for the photo. Yes, handles marked # 2 is what I'm talking about.
Up to model year 2004.5 these were not included.

I'll take an updated picture tonight, and have my wife post it.

Carlos,

I'm wondering...there's gotta be a part number for it, cuz I'd want to update mine too since Z and I have the same year (even though she got the bigger engine...and for cheaper than I got mine )

Hmmm...Maybe I'll ask nlpamg to meet up with his 2005 and we can check the liner for a part number...

OR if any of you that have these handles are willing to pull out all the tabs and look for the part number, it would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure if the photos will show, because they were uploaded on the old MBWorld server, and may not have transferred. If that's the case you have to right-click on the Broken Image, cut & paste the Properties on to your web browser, log in again at the prompt, and then back track to the thread to see the pictures. Pain in the rear, but the MODS haven't been able to figure out how to fix that.

OK, with much coercion, I took the trunk liner all apart again...

Here's what the trunk liner looks like:

The difference between 2001-2004.5 and the 2005+ trunk liners are the 2 PULL Handles seen in the pic.

W203 Heckdeckel USA mit Griffmulde ( Part # A 203 690 5341 )
- made by BORGERS
I pulled the liner back out, and here are the pics:

Finally, here's a quick pic I took of the Euro Warning Triangles. The one on the left is the new version (Part # A 203 890 0197), the one on the right is the old school model. I forgot to jot down the part # for the latch that holds the triangle to the trunk lid... sorry my bad. It's a EURO ONLY part.

Wow. The liner is much less expensive than I thought. Maybe I'll order that and the replacement wheel well that can fit a full size spare sometime soon.
