How long have peoples brakes lasted on the c230wz? 36k, 40k?

I guess that really depends on the driving style of the driver. I have almost 53K miles on my original pads on my Tahoe. Now my in-laws go through a set of pads almost every 15k miles and rotors almost every other time. If you do not pound your brakes at the last minute they should last quite a while.

I have C180 and my front brake pad and rotor last for 40K KM, having 19 inch doesn't help either

I got about 38,000 miles on mine. I think I'm going to change them soon cause I could feel the car losing braking power.

My buddy goes through brakes on his C320 every 18K miles or so but he's an aggresive driver. I had Porterfields on my 2002 and they were still good with 34K miles on them.

Mine lasted just over 60,000 miles. But by then, since I left the message on, my rotors needed replacing as well.

I have 16,000+ miles on my '04.5 C230 and my brakes are starting to squeak, Going to the Dealer next week to see what's wrong, I through I would get better results than that.

Has anyone tried ceramic pads?
Can you get them through the dealer?

Thanks Jkw

I've tried the Porterfield Brakes pads that are carbon kevlar and they worked out great on my 2002 C230. I'm very happy with the factory pads on my 2004.5 and would probably just get the MB pads. As for squealing, that can happen with any pads at anytime. What I would do if it bothered me is to turn the rotors, sand the pads flat, bevel the leading and trailing edge of the pad and add some antisqueal goop in the right spots..

At 17000, mine had over half the pad left and they were used for a few autocross laps.
