Just wanted to elate about finally getting HID's in...

Didn't enjoy cutting the cover and housing and I'm still a little paranoid about the bulbs failing, but it's about time I did it. Now just waiting for the bulbs to burn in...

i had a philips retrofit kit in my VW. the ballasts had to be replaced after about 3 yrs. my parents bought the car from me to use as a tow car. i liked the kit, it served the purpose and was reasonably priced. how difficult was the install.

Installation is pretty easy. The hardest part of it all is figuring out how to organize the wires and mount the ballast. I had to cut a hole towards the bottom side of the cover for the necessary wires to reach from ballast to bulb. I was hoping to document my installation because I have not been able to find an existing guide, but I don't have a digital camera =\.
