W203 C180k ECU and C200k Engine
hi everyone,
I bought a w203 C180K 2003 (Vin 203046, made in South Africa). I identified that the engine has been replaced by previous owner. Current engine number 271 940.... which is for C200 163hp. ECU part number is A 271 153 61 79, which is for C180K. Car is working fine and there is no issue.
While scanning from a scan tool, there is an option of variant coding in ECM module, which has an option to change the engine to 105kw, 120kw and 141kw. By changing this option to 120kw, would ecu configure itself for 163hp or i have to replace the ecu with c200 ecu? is there anything else which has to be changed?
