Question 2005 c230 bumper dimensions same as c32?

Hey everyone, my first post here. Just got my 2005 c230-SS 2 days ago and loving it! This is a great forum and provides such a great wealth of information for new MB enthusiasts like myself.

Well I have a few questions and would like your expert advice and opinion.

1) Plan on purchasing a nose mask (bra) for the car since I will be doing alot of highway traveling. I'm currently looking at the Colgan Car Bras
-Original Black finish ($89)
-Carbon Fiber ($109)

Which would be the better of the two choices?

2) There are currently no sizes made for theh 2005 c230 models yet. But since it sports the AMG bumper, I was thinking about ordering the size for the 2003 c32. Does anyone know if these two models have the same dimensions?

Thanks for your help.

original black out of those two choices. personally id spend the extra money and get a clear bra put on. you'd never know it was there. looks alot better.

yes dimensions are the same for C32 and 2005 C230WZ

I saw some clear bra applications on my last visit to the dealer. If you get clear bra, don't get the kind that stops a 1/4 of the way up your hood. The edge looks like a big long scratch, especially on dark colors. You'd want to get one that covers entire body panels so there are no seams.

yeah there are some i've seen that dont blend well either. you get what you pay for i firmly believe. the good ones ive seen run about 5-7" up from the adge and are hard to see the seam unless you get really close. regardless i think you will see some sort of seam, beats having a big piece of black leather strapped to the front of my car. plus the clear bras can be removed. they arent permanent.

have your installer use "Llumar" film, it's practically invisible...

The film we carry is by Venture, an ultra clear urethane film that is twice as rock chip resistant than its leading competitor, 3M. Here's a link to some pics of the clearbras installed on a variety of vehicles:

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ight=clear+bra

3M is quite visible due to the orange peel texture of their film. We've used their film in the past and have chosen to stick w/ Venture due to its excellent clarity and strength. Installation of paint protection film is also a big factor in the visibility of the film itself. Dust, debris and overstretching of the material can all lead to a very noticeable and unappealing install.

Anyone interested in obtaining more information about paint protection film, feel free to email us at sales@premiermobilegroup.com

We are based out of Northern California, but have traveled out of state for group buys, exotics car shows, large meets, etc. Anyone interested in setting something up in your area, please email us.
