The fob battery is required for remote locking/unlocking, but isn't required to start the car. The ignition module charges the key inductively. This ensures that one will never be stranded because of a dead fob battery.

So did you end up replacing the starter?
Starters can be rebuilt if you have a local shop. With labour costs these days it's almost easier to just replace the entire unit.
Swap relays if you get a chance. Relays aren't known for failing. The car uses several of the same relay model as the one for the starter circuit. You'll hear a click when turning the key. Might have to have a buddy listen while standing outside the car, as the relays are pretty quiet.

I found the problem
On the driver side under the carpet and the kick panel you'll need a torx to get the screw out is a bunch of wiring for the can and the telecommunication there's a short there and that's what's creating no crank no start it's not the ignition module it's not the starter it's not a fuse it's a connection in there there's green and white twisted wire
