W203 Yaw Rate Sensor Headache
Hie,
I am having a headache over a faulty Yaw Rate Sensor for W203, part Number: A002 542 72 18 Q01 as shown in that link for illustration purposes.
Now, I have tried replacing it with other numbers, for example: A002 542 94 18 Q01, but it did not work, and there are varying opinions among mechanics and auto electricians and they are as follows:
1. I am told by some that I should replace the sensor with the exact number, but that one is so scarce that I have literally gone round most of the car breakers and can't find the exact part number match.
2.Others are saying I should have the cables to the ESP checked.
3. The others one are of the opinion that I should replace the ESP module because it could be the one that is not correctly picking the signals from the Yaw rate Sensor.
I am not sure what to do now and I am seeking guidance from those that know about this issue.

If you can't find it, unfortunately you may have to eat it at the local dealer.
Where are you located? Might want want to put it in your signature like the rest of us. People can then help you locate a local parts supplier.
