![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I know this is stupid, but which way does the spare tire/wheel go in the well? I can't seem to find a pic in the owners manual.
I took the spare tire out to use the air compressor, and I forgot which way the spare goes back in the well. If I put it in with the wheel up, the plastic bolt doesn't reach. If it put it in with the wheel down, the plastic bolt doesn't screw all the way down to the wheel.
Also, where do you put that plastic half-round disk? What is the purpose of that, and why is there a hole in the center?
Thanks for your help.

If I remember correctly, the cardboard disc covers the area below the spare where the jack and compressor goes. Then the wheel is put in face down so you have an area to put junk in the backside of the wheel. Of course you can go to the dealer and open up the one in the showroom to verify this.
