CD-Changer specs
I'm asking this b/c I was told the changer costs $995 from the dealer (as opposed to $700 something as stated on www.mbusa.com) due to the "new" optical system. Their changer is somehow better, though I'm not sure of that. If it doesn't support mp3 playback, then does anyone know when it will?
Or you can avoid the whole ugly mess and get the MB Audio 10 AM/FM/CD to replace the cassette radio you have. It's made by Becker and sounds better than the factory Alpine unit. It's available new at most MB dealers outside the North America or on Ebay.de for a used one or AutoClass.net can get you that but they are pricey.
Does anyone know if the CD-changer from the dealer is the same one they've been selling since '99 and if not, can it play CDs with mp3's on it?

Anyway, I was told (by the dealer) that not buying the dealer's cd player and installing aftermarket would void the warranty on my speaker (bose) system and radio. That's why i'm reluctant to buy the radio cheaper and now i'm thinking about getting ripped off by the dealer just so I can listen to cds.
Then again, many of the new players support mp3's so maybe i'll just wait 4 years or 50000 miles before I get a cd changer.

Haha, sorry about that I didn't realize that this name might be popular...maybe I should have gone with C230something. Oh well, I don't post much so it shouldn't be a problem.
