Sounds like a Defective Antenna with Only (2 Sat) for signal
Also what Nav disc do you have? How long ago was the Comand Installed?
E mail me If You Need a Antenna
) if antenna is the problem, i'll definitely need those antennathanx
Pull out your steering wheel to maximum, use the correct tool or coat hangers and release the speedometer dash unit. You will probably see on the right hand side back of the dash the black antenna dangling. Put fresh doublesided tape on the top of the antenna and restick the top of the antenna to the underside of the dash.
Your Comand should start working!
This also applies to Sirrus and other satelite antennas stuck to the underside of the dash.
Pull steering wheel out and down as far as it will go. Turn off engine, and pull out key. Remover instrument cluster. Re-tape antenna. Re-install instrument cluster.
Search the forum for "Instrument Cluster Removal Tools". I have a set that I purchased from the dealer for about $13-$15.
Use these to stick into the 2 small holes on each side of the instrument cluster. You will feel them click into place, and then pull both out simulatenously along with the instrument cluster. An extra set of hands might be useful just to carefully hold the instrument cluster. Do no disconnect anything from the instrument cluster. Place it gently on steering column, while you re-attach the COMAND antenna with sticky tape or whatever, at the highest point of the dash body, as stated (not to interfere with Instrument Cluster position, once you re-insert). Reposition instrument cluster and push it into place. You will hear a slight click. You're done. Start car, re-set your steering wheel position, drive around and test COMAND navigation.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
First is the tool I used, two coat hangers:
Second is the correct tools, about $12 at MB dealers
Third is a photo of the Comand antenna, note in photo there is space behind that the antenna can be wedged into with some stiky stuff to keep it from falling off. My install by Steve lasted about a month! No problems with the Comand since.
Andy,
Any of us will help you remove this. Several of us will be at the Meguiars clinic this Saturday, and Mark usually has a couple of dozen MB people arround his garage, more when Steve is here. His neighbors must wonder?
greetingz,

damn stealership
Take the speedometer dash out using the proper tool or coathanger wire. Take the Comand antenna and with the top pointing up, push it between the metal frame and the soft underside of the dash covering.
When you look inside the dash opening there is a metal frame, the underside of the dash top has a small space that you can force the antenna into, and it will stay there.
I just re-did my Comand antenna and XM Radio satellite antenna in five minutes at lunch time
